Dear Marlins--

We have an opportunity to reach potential swimmers on Aug. 7 at Sunset Zoo at the Water Safari.  I've included a portion of the letter from Allie Lousch which explains what the Water Safari is all about.  If you can volunteer 1-2 hours of your time on the 7th, please contact me at leann.martin88@gmail.com or 785-784-2382.  If you have any ideas for a fun interactive water game--please send them my way!  Although the Zoo will open at 9:30 that day, we will start our set up at 11:00. A table will be provided for us. The event goes on until 5pm.

It’s a Water Safari and You’re Invited!

Saturday, August 7, Sunset Zoo will present Water Safari & Baskin Robbins Kids Day – a fun water-themed conservation event for kids of all ages. Last year, Water Safari & Baskin Robbins Kids Day drew over 1200 people to the Zoo making it the fastest growing event at Sunset Zoo. This year, Water Safari will feature free Baskin Robbins scoops, the Manhattan Fire Department’s Spray N’ Splash, face painting, the African lagoon, and more!

You are invited to join us and promote water conservation during this popular late summer event. Water Safari begins at noon and ends at 5:00 pm; set up can begin as early as 9:30 am. In the past, organizations like yours have crafted fun and interactive booths, presentations, and materials for kids of all ages to learn about water conservation and safe water play.

Water Safari is a great opportunity to showcase your organization to the Manhattan community in a wet and wild way!
