Indoor Practice Schedule


Special Notes

Indoor practices are held at the Kansas State University Natatorium

Please be advised that the Marlins have coaches on deck by 3:30 p.m. each afternoon. If your swimmer arrives early, he/she may begin practicing at that time. The time posted below is when official warm-ups and sets will begin.

Group 1 - Minnows
-Introduction to Swimming
-Basic swimming skills 
-Fun and games on a regular basis

Group 1 Schedule:
Indoor:    M, W, F from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.


Group 2 - Bronze 1
-Developmental in nature
-Emphasis on technique for all 4 strokes 
    (starting with freestyle and backstroke)
-Fun and games on a regular basis
-Introduction to starts and turns

Group 2 Schedule:
Indoor:    M, W, F from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
             Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.


Group 3 - Bronze 2
-
Continued work on all four strokes with an emphasis on refinement
-More in-depth look at start and turn technique
-Introduction to endurance and set training

Group 3 Schedule:
Indoor:     M, Tu, W, Th, F from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
             Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.


Group 4 - Silver
-
Maintain stroke technique work with emphasis on mastery
-Refinement on starts and turns
-Daily endurance and set training

Group 4 Schedule:
Indoor:    M, W, F from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
             Tu, Th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
             Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.


Group 5 - Gold
-
Stroke technique maintenance
-Emphasis on advanced aerobic and anaerobic training
-Move towards higher level of senior swimming

Group 5 Schedule:
Indoor:    M, W, F from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
                Tu, Th from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
             Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.


Outdoor Practice Schedule

Outdoor practices are held at the City Park Pool.

Group 1 - Developmental
-Developmental in nature
-Emphasis on technique for all 4 strokes 
    (starting with freestyle and backstroke)
-Fun and games on a regular basis
-Introduction to starts and turns

Group 1 Schedule:
Outdoor:  M-F 11:35 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Group 2 - Bronze
-
Continued work on all four strokes with an emphasis on refinement
-More in-depth look at start and turn technique
-Introduction to endurance and set training

Outdoor:  M-F  7:45 - 9:00 a.m. or 11:35 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.
